About Me

Jillian A. Smith is a mixed-race, bicoastal Actor, Singer, and Dancer based in New York City and San Francisco.
Jillian began her performing journey as a ballerina. She trained under Danish Prima Ballerina Lise La Cour, at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and at the Bolshoi Academy of Ballet in Moscow. She hails from a long line of scientists and engineers, and after years of ballet training followed in her familys footsteps, graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Theater, & Dance from the University of California, Berkeley.
Since graduating in 2021, she’s worked as an engineer at major tech companies, and worked consistently in both Film and Theatre. Favorite roles include Anya in Anastasia, Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, Bebe in A Chorus Line, and Erma in Anything Goes.
Jillian is passionate about developing new works, telling stories that explore the mixed-race experience, and using her background in theater and technology to explore mixed-media art and push creative boundaries.
When she’s not performing she can be found eating olives, listening to Olivia Rodrigo, and doing the NYT Crossword Puzzle
